I don't know if this has already been addressed before, but I was wondering if anyone has ever done the slim in 6 exercise program. I'm thinking I might buy it, but first, I wanted to see what kind of results anyone had when using this product.

Re: Slim in 6

I just did a quick review of the product. Lots of marketing gimicks in there...

Any product that makes a claim like this:

Quote:
6-Day Express Diet Plan to help you lose up to 6 pounds and 6 inches in your first 6 days—guaranteed!
I mean come on, you would lose 'up to 6 pounds and 6 inches guaranteed huh? So you could lose 0 pounds and still fall under their guarantee.

On a more serious note it looks like a simple exercise + nutrition plan. I personally wouldn't pay $100 for it. You could achieve the same effects for free by counting calories and exercising on your own.

I'm just not a big fan of diet "programs."

Re: Slim in 6

Ha, UP TO 6 pounds guaranteed! Ug!

Cons:
Diet/Exercise programs like that rarely work. If they did, they wouldn't be able to keep creating and selling new ones. Any initial weight lost is usually temporary and gained back. To sustain longterm weight loss you have to change your eating habits and exercise in a way that works best for you. It's almost like you have to create your own program, not in a way that someone else tells you.

Pro: Losing some weight from it can be a good jump start and motivator to keep going. Who knows, maybe the videos will be useful and fun. Also, we have had a few people on these boards that find it easiest to lose weight by being told exactly what to do and how.

If you have already tried other videos and program and that haven't worked, I wouldnt waste my money on this one.

I completely agree with that!!! Sometimes an existing program someone else invented will work for a person, but the only way to be sure it'll work for you is trial and error, and you can do that for free on your own. I have had some exercise videos I've liked but the best way to incorporate them into your life and the best way to eat are generally different for everyone.

I don't know if you saw it or not, but there is a slim in 6 infomercial on TV now....I think it's a full 30 minutes. Slim in 6 is pulling out all the marketing stops! I haven't dared watch it though.

Re: Slim in 6

I'm pretty sure the claims they're making are in reference to the slimming of one's wallet, not necessarily the person making the purchase.

The "less than 6 pounds" is necessary because those paying with a credit card don't lose any weight from their wallets. Most extreme weight loss is seen in those paying for the program entirely in rolls of pennies.

So true, so true. A part of me wants to hire someone just to review all these garbage diets like slim in 6 and post results to save people the hassle of the review process and from wasting their money.

Re: Slim in 6

Hey guys, do you want to hear about a weight loss program that REALLY works? I guarantee that you will lose 50, 75, maybe even 100 pounds in less than a day, without diet or exercise!!!

This groundbreaking program can be yours for the low, low cost of $150.00! This covers both the price of the chainsaw as well as the processing fee for the waiver. So don't delay - let me show just how much you can lose today!

That is great! You might want to up your price though cause I just spent 250$ on a chainsaw for yard work. You might get people interested in just the saw. lol.

That's funny! These emoticons are really fun to use.

Oh, and to Boxerbaby - if you act now, I'll even refund half the difference - normally, that would be $100, but if you call within the next 10 minutes, I'll only charge you 500 quarters! All you have to do is sign here:
