| marathon Please don't call me crazy, but I thought about running a half-marathon. I have been jogging for about five months as often as possible. I don't really like to do it when I come home late in the evening, but at least I have got time to jog every weekend. What do you think about my idea? Has anyone of you ever done it before and could give me some advise? |

I underestimated how long it would take to properly train.
Could you jog first thing in the morning? You'll really have to get consistent with your jogging in order to properly train. How far can you jog right now?

| Re: marathon Might be possible that I overestimate the whole thing, but nevertheless I would really like to give it a try. Even if that means to get up early in the morning before work to go jogging. I can jog for about 10 miles-maybe I could go further, but haven't tried yet. But I thought about running a little further every week. How much time did you need to be prapared for a marathon? |

| Re: marathon It's not crazy, if you want to do it - do it! A couple keys are make sure your shoes fit right, this is a problem many people have and don't know it. Be consistent, but still give yourself time to rest. Give yourself plenty of time. Eat properly and keep yourself hydrated. If you want it, you can definitely go get it.
How soon were you hoping to be able to do it? |

| Re: marathon Yes I know and I am definitely not going to do that. And if it will take some more time until I am prepared to run the long distance that is okay. As long as I am able to do it one day :-) But right now I am doing great and I think I will be ready until august! |
