EVEN THOUGH NUTS ARE HIGH IN calories, amping up your intake may still be one of the best ways to help you lose weight. According to a study conducted at the University of Illinois, people following a diet high in lean meats, dairy, eggs, and nuts lost significantly more weight than people eating according to the USDA's new food pyramid, even though both groups were following the same workout and taking in the same number of calories overall. Best of all, the weight the nut-eaters dropped came almost exclusively from their fat reserves.
