Has anyone seen the new commercial for the Taco Bell Diet?
Someone eats only 1250 calories a day on average on a diet, but it's all Taco Bell, so Taco Bell is actually advertising their food for a Taco Bell diet!
Yes I did. I thought it was a joke at first. I would not dare base my diet on that. I cannot imagine the sodium content.
On the other hand, if they truly have some options that can be chosen for someone "on the run" then it's a nice addition. It's like when I found out that the McDonald's Egg McMuffin was 300 calories. I have had a couple since I finally got started on this diet and it was nice as I was running around town and had not had anything prior to leaving the house.

I saw that commercial the other night. I thought it was a joke too I mean come on, yes you probably could lose weight eating nothing but tacos but how healthy is that. Just because something has less than 9 grams of fat, does not make it a healthy choice as your main diet. Technically, you could lose weight eating any type of fast food depending on how much of it you eat. There could be a "Stuffed crust, mega meat and triple cheese Pizza Hut" diet where you eat nothing but three slices of pizza every day and lose weight. This is just bad and misleading advertising. Shame on Taco Bell.

Everyone gets on the band wagon at some point. I am sceptical that fast food joints have much true nutritional value to offer. Yes, I know the side salad is good but don't forget the high fat and calorie dressing they serve with it!
I know our eating out and junk food binges have decreased quite a bit. And I am very glad of it. We have more fun cooking at home anyway. And we all know that can be better for you since you can control what goes in the food.

I've never really been a taco bell type of girl, but my husband and dd love it, if there are selections that are more in line with health, I say great! I'm going to check out the site listed here and try to memorize those items that are better for them.

I think Taco Bell missed their callling, as far as low calories they don't have an advantage over any of the other fast food chains. Anyone of them could set up a similar campaign and steal Taco Bell's thunder. But if they marketed themselves like Alli no other fast food place would even have a shot at competing.
I think it's great that those places have some options, but almost spit out my water when I saw that commercial. Definitely not something I would want to eat all day every day. I don't really even like the stuff anymore thank goodness!!!
Fresco Crunchy Taco is 3 pts. That's alot for one taco. Eat one more, 6.
The Reg. Crunchy taco is 4 WW points. That's alot when you consider that's all you get. To me, not worth the drive for either of them.

Oh my gosh...
wow. This is a bit like pigs flying!
I have serious mistrust for "nutritional facts" at restaurants. I see them as estimates that probably stray greatly from what they are claiming depending on the cook and the day. For instance, a chef/cook can easily pour 1 or 2 more tablespoons of oil than the one they measured....or put more cheese, or dressing, etc. Every cook is so different! Especially when you are getting a huge meal at a restaurant . They don't measure!! Ug. I do appreciate that they are trying to make some healthy fast food choices though
OMG when I saw this I couldnt beleive it...
But I dont think there saying to eat it all day..
If im not mistaken it said to eat from there menu when you eat out..
I have eatn the fresco crunchy tacos (2) and its enough to fill me up until dinner...
But there is no way I would put myself on a Taco bell diet thats just crazy!!!
I can attest to the Taco Bell diet working only because when I worked retail, I was forced to eat there quite often. The food was so greasy, it left me just as fast as it came. Suffice it to say, I had no problems maintaining my weight and ended up losing loads. lol I wouldn't however recommend it, lol.
