I'm starting out "again" to lose weight. I've got to lose it because I want to look better, feel better, and hopefully have more energy for my two year old little boy. Both my husband and I are really over weight. I know my weight says 180, but I'm only 4 foot 11 inches tall. And according to my doctor, should way close to 105. So, I'm hoping to stay motivated.

Hi Sad, have you and your husband got a plan? Since the 2 of you are going about this together I think motivation should be easier to come by. Or at least hopefully it will. Anyway welcome.

I hope the two of you can work together! It will be easier and fun. It's much harder if only one of you is dieting if both of you need to. Good luck!

I'm picturing you and your husband posting to each other from across the room!
You're lucky to have someone to partner with, it makes all the difference! Just like Matt asked, have you figured out how you're going to go about achieving your weight loss goals?

I haven't quite figured it all out yet. However, I have given up regular Coke and replaced it with Sprite Zero. I have started eating more balanced meals rather than fast food burgers and chili cheese coneys from Sonic. I've also joined a Strollercize group in Orlando to take my Toddler with me. And I've also gotten my husband to start taking walks together when he has time. He, unfortunately, doesn't have a lot of time since he works such odd hours at Taco Bell as an assistant manager and has to work 50 hours a week. So, sometimes I feel like I'm on my own. I need to figure out how to make my arms thinner or at least my biceps anyway. I've also started putting my Wii Fit to use. So, I'm hoping to see some kind of results.

You are off to a great start! Dropping the sugary soda is a great choice! Do you like iced teas? You might want to experiment with some decaf variations. I really like a lemon tea mixed with green tea and it's really refreshing. I've learned to drink it straight (without sugar) but if you need a bit of sweetness try some stevia or splenda. Congratulations also on joining the strollercize class. How fun! You'll make some new friends and your little one will get a bit of socializing in too! You are doing the right thing and making some great choices. Keep it up!
