Results of Weight Loss Challenge
Well, I joined a weight loss challenge 4 months ago. About the time I first started posting here. Tonight was our last meeting. Backround material: The girl sponsering it is involved in Herbalife, thought she never insists you buy anything from her. During the 4 months I did some protein shakes, stayed around 1200 calories, upped my protein intake and REALLY exercised. We all paid 29 to start and all that money was divided up between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers (50%, 30%, and 20% payout). Well, I lost 24.5 pounds and 12.06% body fat which earned me a 2nd place finish. The girl who beat me lost 12.45% body fat. I figured it out and if I would have lost 1 more pound I would have beat her. She won $275 dollars and I made $165. I really wanted to win but I'm happy with second place, too. Hey, how often can you get paid to lose weight? It was fun and it got me 1/2 way to where I want to be. Hoping to lose another 25 lbs.

Re: Results of Weight Loss Challenge
I feel great now. I can't say enough about exercise, I think it helped the most. I lost about 20 inches all over and everything is much firmer and tighter. I lost about 2 sizes. Bought a size 12 skirt the other day. Haven't worn that size since high school. It's funny how you view your body image. When I try on a smaller size I'm telling myself why are you doing it, it's not even going to come close to fitting. Then I try it on and it zips right up. It's so strange. Anyway, I'm very happy with the results and the challenge was a lot of fun.

Re: Results of Weight Loss Challenge
Wow, that is awesome.
What you said about new sizes really hit home with me. I get the size 10's or 12's off the rack rather than the 16 or 18. I think to myself, "no way in HECK am I going to be able to wear this.." and than WAM it goes over the hips and ZIPS nicely! It is shocking to me. I bought my first 10 this week but I think it was a fluke because it's the only size 10 that would fit. It was a pair of dress jeans that are Dockers brand.
To further glorify myself, I will say I have a dress I haven't worn since 1994. I wore it only once to the theatre with my hubby. I have kept it all these years and can finally get into again and zip it. I would say it will take ten more pounds for it too look nice on me. I cannot wait to surprise him with it again.
I love my new lifestyle and I love thinking about all the foods I CAN EAT and the things I CAN COOK and enjoy. Last night I made Indian food which is one of my faves. I used fat-free cream cheese, water and curry for my base. It worked beautifully and tasted awesome. Before I used heavy whipping cream for the base. Can you believe?

Re: Results of Weight Loss Challenge
Hey, I wish I could find one of those challenges. I would love to make some money on this thing. It would be the Icing on the cake--so to speak. Or should I say, the tofu on the vegetables! LOL
