| OOPS! I just sat down and ate about 2 lbs. of Greek salad (that's alot of feta cheese, and olive oil) *sigh* - I'm not sure why I keep repeating these unhealthy habits of falling off the wagon and stuffing myself!

| Re: OOPS! Don't beat yourself up too bad. Can you slow down your eating a bit? Have you ever tried taking 20 bites per mouthful and taking a break in between each bite? Another good tip is to drink a glass of water before sitting down to eat. It's a good sign that you're upset with yourself and aren't content with being unhealthy.

| Re: OOPS! I tried slowing down my eating and it has worked before - I think I was just really stressed out last night. Getting upset with myself doesn't really help the situation. I think I need to change my habits in the evening - when the overeating tends to happen most. Instead of sitting in front of the tv, I'm going to try doing an evening walk to get out of the house

Here is a topic that contains some great tips: http://www.obesitydiscussion.com/for...-add-3689.html

Just get back on the wagon right away! I have a bad habit of writing off the day after I give into temptation, and it always makes it 10 times worse!

Acutally I would say that a greek salad isn't too bad. I also like to have this kind of salad when I am going out to a restaurant. Lettuce doesn't have to much calories and feta cheese...well as long as you don't eat it too often it is okay I would say. And olive oil is at least much better than all the other creamy dressings like French, Ranch or American. So you haven't been too bad :-) |

I tend to feed of my mistakes and use them as motivation to do better in the coming days! Remember this is a long term journey, so one mistake isn't going to make or break everything.
