Had to pickup donuts for work, and noticed they now have a "whole wheat" donut 
Give me a break, why even bother!!!!  What's next, soy donut?

They were talking about this on the news today. Supposedly the whole wheat drops the carbs by 3g and the calories by 30-40.
Still not healthy by any means.

oh yes, this thing is kind of hard to believe. the problem with claims like this is it connotes that since its is healthy , then one can eat as much as he or she wants without feeling guilty. It contradicts basic dieting principle which says that everything should be eaten in moderation  | |

Yep, people tend to focus on a single ingredient or constituent. Remember the fuss over how wonderful beta-carotene is? Well, it's "healthy" when ingested with other chemicals, but may behave as a pro-oxidant when ingested alone! | |
