| I hate veggies
Can you still lose weight if you don't eat veggies but instead eat fruits cause I hate most vegetables. The only vegetables I can eat are lettuce, tomato, potato, sweet potato, corn & beans

I don't like my veggies either. I'll eat them if I put them on my plate, but I don't do that. I believe you need your veg. For the vitiums.

Don't overload on fruit though because fruit is LOADED with sugar and that might hinder your ability to lose weight. You can counter your lack of vege intake via vitamins and in some cases, vege supplements like Greens+. I take Greens+ because I'm horrible at eating veggies.

Also I notice that, except for the lettuce & toms, you like best the high-starch vegetables. They turn into sugar fast.
To check how much sugar or starch (starch means carbs) are in a food, look here: FitDay Calorie Counter - How many calories in All Foods?
Fitday will tell you the # of carbs. But, surprise, ALL carbs turn into sugar, even the "good carbs." Read the purple & red text on this page: AMAZING FACTS ABOUT YOUR HEART AND BLOOD SUGAR 1. And...let's say you know how many carbs are in something? How, then, to tell how many teaspoons of sugar those carbs will metabolize into? Read the green & red text at the bottom of this page: The Cardiologist's Wife's Chocolate Too! Diet: No Sugar, Low Fat *&* Low Carb
Amazing! That last page is your key to the kingdom.

Sure you can, as long as you are watching your other food intake. But I'm with others - don't overdo the fruit - lots of sugars there. __________________

I don't like them either, but I like the idea that they will do good for my body. So, I just deal with it by eating the veggies that are less yucky to me =]

I love veggies now and have found that even the ones I thought I didnt like can be made to taste good. You just have to find the way to cook them or prepare them that works for your taste buds.

veggies really are important for your success......they fill your tummy up because they are fibrous, therefor leaving you feeling fuller longer because they take longer to digest,so you won't be hungary as fast, they provide your body with natural antioxidents and vitimins.........try a diffrent veggie every week untill you find ones you like..you will learn to like the crunch of carrots and the sweetness of cucumbers.... keep and open mind and remember your goals......(be careful with corn and peas thoe they are more carby than the rest)......good luck!

Since you like potatoes, I would really urge you to try mashed cauliflower.
Steam your cauliflower until easily pierced with a fork. Put in your butter substitute (I use Smart Squeeze 5 calorie) and salt and pepper. Mash them just as you would potatoes. You can even use an electric mixer. You can eat the entire head for under 150 calories and you will definitely stay full with this!
