| Mandomter- Childhood Obesity Computer Mandometer- Childhood Obesity Computer
This new machine called the mandometer is helping those suffering from childhood obesity. It does everything from weighing food to encouraging kids to eat food one bite at a time. There are a bunch of scales that connect to a plate with his food and the scales can feel when he/she removes food, and the mandometer comments based on the speed and amount a child eats. About 120 kids are taking part in this study by the Childhood Obesity Clinic at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. Laurence Wilshire lost over 5 stone in only one year with the Mandometer, which is quite an accomplishment!
Ironically enough the mandometer was made in Sweden for anorexics, in an effort to help them eat more! A simple reprogram and boom, now you have an anti-obesity tool!
