Halloween Leftovers

Okay, what's the best thing to do with all this leftover candy?

I MUST get it out of the house, but don't want to throw it away, since it cost quite a bit of money.

I'm thinking of bringing it to work, but that doesn't make it easy on my fellow workers to watch their weight.

Any suggestions?

Can you donate it somewhere? I know when I was little my schools used to tell us if we got any candy we didn't want, or got too much, we could take it to a fire station, and they give it to kids who had their candy stolen by meanies.

I'm not sure if that would work, seeing as it's a few days after Hallowe'en now.

Re: Halloween Leftovers

Haha, I just realized to put this in the childhood obesity section.

Maybe I shouldn't have suggested giving it to kids.

Well, you could always donate it to a food bank or give it all to a homeless person who would appreciate it?

Re: Halloween Leftovers

I think as long as you don't eat too much candy that's fine-also kinds should have some sweets from time to time. That is why I would also suggest to bring it to a kindergarden or something like that. There the carers are adminstarting the sweets and they don't have to give it to the kids everyday. Candy doesn't get bad so fast and so they can out it aside!

This year, I gave my leftovers to a friends daughter. Last year, I gave it to my local church to be used for the children.
