As the owner of FUNFIT, Kibler has developed programs that not only prevent but may combat obesity in children by making fitness fun and family-inclusive.

According to the US Surgeon General, there is currently an epidemic of childhood obesity in the United States that includes 9 million children over the age of 6, and parents are increasingly looking for ways to help their children walk down a healthier path, along with them.
The National Center for Health Statistics reveals that there has been a 45 percent increase in children's obesity between the 1988-1994 surveys to the latest data gathered between 1999-2002. And there is no signs of that trend reversing without a complete societal makeover and a new approach to how family spend their time together.
According to Kibler, "Often, the very best defense against child obesity is an immediate and strong parental intervention and lifestyle change. In most cases, the child is mimicking the parent's approach to physical activities and healthy eating patterns, which is why our programs are designed to involve the whole family. Frederick County, MD... These classes will be cancelled if Frederick County Schools are closed. If schools are delayed, classes will be held. Classes will be made up at the end of the session.
McLean, Virginia... All Funfit classes are cancelled if Fairfax County Schools are closed or delayed. Class makeup days will be announced & will be held at the end of the session.
