Some doctors in Britain say childhood obesity is getting out of control and they have been treating children as young as three for the problem.
The chairman of a group which works with children with growth disorders says the problem often stems from the first few months of a child's life.
Tam Frey says one problem in Britain is that babies are being weaned earlier and earlier.
He says first week for weaning should be week 17 of a child's life, but unfortunately there are children being weaned as early as 12 weeks.
Dr Frey says this induces the bad habit of over-nutrition which then escalates.
