Adolescent Obesity- Addressing Childhood Obesity Online

Indiantelevision.com Team(31 May 2007 5:00 pm) MUMBAI: Teen Talk, a subsidiary of Kidfluence and an up coming television show and website for youth, is currently addressing the occurrence of adolescent obesity on the online video commentary.
Teen Talk is being hosted by former Nickelodeon hostess Chloe Dolandis. It tackles topics critical to the development of today's tweenagers.
In this episode, Dolandis presents the facts, analyzes what parents, schools and kids should be doing and offers a few tips, says an official release.
Teen Talk Adolescent Obesity is now airing on the Internet via the web sites Kidfluence.tv, YouTube, Google Video, Yahoo! Video and mySpace.

"Obesity used to be looked at as only an adult issue, but given the rising statistics of overweight kids, this is a far greater problem than imagined," said Teen Talk executive producer Steve Ruprecht. "By discussing this topic through Teen Talk, we are hoping to reach the masses and all parties responsible. The fact that more kids today are having radical gastric bypass surgery only reinforces the necessity to explore the issue."
Teen Talk, which caters to technology savvy teenagers, is meant to be highly interactive. Dolandis, who has hosted youth programming for media outlets like Nickelodeon shares personal stories and solicits feedback from tweenagers. Viewers are encouraged to send Dolandis e-mail and blog her with their questions and feedback.
