thanks guys.......I am not loving my new schedule of work but it pays the bills and with a bit of determination i will do just fine!!! eats are clean and i am goin to work out on the treadmill here in a bit..........the stairs are icy and cold still.....so that willl have to wait for another day!!!!

hi guys thanks for all the support!!! it totally makes my day when i get on here and see that others are pulling for me!! lol

well i just did 45 min on the treadmill and some kettlebell swings........i am pooped but it feels great!!! eats were clean and water will be one gallon by days end!!!! feelin the flow......ridin the bull!!! lol

whew......well today i tried a new workout and it kicked my ass.......I was sweating like a dog when i got done!!! feels great...........
eats are clean so far and water is right on track.......one week of my neew challange down........11 more to go!!! It feels goood to be back in the swing of things.......funny how life can knock you down, but you can just get back at it..........if i can anyone can!!!

well i am tired as heck today, did two graveyard shifts in a row.......bleck! My eats are clean and my water is good though.....and yeah Miranda i have been drinking the hell outta my green tea!!! I have my weights workout shceduled for tommarrow and some cardio on the treadmill too........I was too tired to do my cardio today, so i will catchit up in the morning! Have a great day gang!!! keep kicken yer own ass!!!

well i slept in today, dang it!!! so i am behind a little......drank my green tea nd had a protien drink and some grapes for meal one........now off to do my work outs and then take my ma shoppin later. I wish i had more time to take care of her better.....for thoes of you who don't know my ma has diabetes really bad nad she lost most of her vision just two years ago due to it.......her blood sugar was always way out of control..like 500 sometimes.......the Dr. don't know how she wasn't in a coma.......she also has a blood disorder due to it too, the sugar in her blood stream attached to her platlets and elongated them (there supposed to be round)......and she has other related complications too...........she is the reason i started eating helathy and changing,.....GOd i don't wanna end up blind at 57 years old......she was a pistol too before it happened........it's like she aged 25 years in two years........be thankful for what you have and get that weight off before it claims some part of your life..........or the whole thing!!!!

So sorry to know this about your mom, Kerrie. My grandmother was and my mother is diabetic as well. Not with the complications that your mother has, bless her soul, but it should have woken me up but it did not until I was diagnosed w/it as well this summer. So that's why I am doing what I am doing now. I don't want to be ill as my son grows up and I know with all the poor health choices I was making, my path was being layed just before me.

Glad you are back w/us and on plan again. One day we'll be wondering where that ass went that we kept kicking?

ROFL - "kickin my own ass" LOVE IT! And that's exactly what I did this morning. I am gonna be SORE tomorrow!

Yeah, diabetes. My Dad is type 2. He is actually giving himself insulin shots now. He's probably looking at an amputation on his leg also in the next year or so. All it's going to take is an infection that is antibiotic resistant and it will be gone. And what gets me is that this was all unavoidable. I'm just waiting for my Mom to announce that she is diabetic as well. She has really been packing on the weight the past year. The only thing that might save her is that their diet is better now because they have been trying to comply (finally) with my dad's dietary restrictions. AUGHHHHH!

So, I am sorry about your Mom, Kerrie. And I'm sorry about yours too, Fluffy. Let's just make sure we DO NOT follow in our parents footsteps. Let's keep kickin ourselves and kickin ourselves hard! We CAN do this!

Karie sorry about your Mom,
I have diabetes and its scary. 500 is really high, mine got 390 one time and i felt soooo bad.

lots of water helps, does she drink lots of water and take her insulin? Diabetes runs in my family, brothers, sisters, my mom, grandma, aunts uncles, only a few people in the family does not have it.

I have to constantly remind my mother to take her medicine, she forgets allot, I call her every morning to remind her and check up.

hi gang...........reading eveyones post it really hits home how prevalent diabetes is..I am glad we are changing our ways NOW!!!!!
I have been working TONS and so have not been around the board much.....I miss it!!! My eats have been clean, however i am not even goin to mention what i ate today!!! but i am back on as of now!!!! Valentines day was fatting over here!!!!

You're doing awesome Kerrie. Very sorry to hear about your mom. I know how bad diabetes can be. My Ex has it horrible and is losing his eye sight due to it. His will get way up in the 500's and did for years I'm sure before he finally went to the DR and was diagnosed and got it under control but it had already done a lot of damage to his eye sight. He is on a lot of diffferent medications plus shots (I think he takes those 2 times a day). He's actually never had a weight problem, but it sure makes me want to get this weight off now and not wait until I develop some of the complications extra weight can cause.

Yes, it is amazing how prevelent Diabetes is. And who of us could have avoided it all together. But at least we are trying now. Better now than suffer consequences and wish we had done something in 2010 instead!
