well i decided to write in here now instead of continueing in the introduce your self forum.. anyway...i am soo happy that i am keeping to this diet. i put on a pair of pants today that i couldn't get into before, well actually i did get into them, but i couldn't button them... but today i stuck them on and buttoned them with no problem.. i am so happy, i think this time i am actually going to do this! and you guys are a huge help.. anytime i get discuraged, i just come to this site and read all the encourging words, and then i think hey, if these people can do this, so can i... i just got sick of all the excuses, and the "oh why can't i look like that" way of thinking.. and got off my butt and did something about it.. i still have a long way ahead of me.. but i know i can do it...

well today was an ok day... i did a little weight training, then did 20 mins on the exercise bike, and also did 15 mins of taebo... i went a little over board with dinner though... i ended up eating more mashed potatoes than i planned on...but that's ok.. my calorie intake was just a little over 1600..i'll tell you one thing though...i don't think i have ever been this sore..my abs and legs are killing me...but as long as it is working..i can deal w/it...

Calories look great, exercise even better......no pain no gain, right?!?!?!

well so far today, i've done ok.. i did 20 mins on the tread mill, and i did a couple of reps with my weights and some crunches.. i'm just really tired today, so far my calorie intake is a little over 500.. (breakfast, & lunch) it is just one of those days where i'm really bored, and i'm trying not to eat. so i'm trying to stay busy, i think i might go for a walk just to get out of the houseanyway, i'll check in again later.

i feel so crappy, this weekend i had 2 bbq's to go to..i definately didn't do too good... the first bbq, I did great, all i drank was water, and i had only low calorie stuff, so i stayed in my 1200-1500 calorie range, Sunday i didn't do so well, i ended up eating some cookies, that i shouldn't have, and there was the yummy amish macaroni salad, i just coudn't stop eating.. and to make things worse i only exercised on saturday. today i only did 10 mins on the treadmill, and a couple of reps w/the weights. but i ended up eating the rest of the mac salad i just couldn't help it.. now i feel soo guilty...and sick...i feel like i'm losing control...and i was doing soo good... i gained 3 pounds from this holiday weekend... tomorrow i am getting my butt back on track...i have too...i hope everyone else had a better weekend than i did...

I weighed 229.5 Sat and 243 by around 8pm on Sunday going to bed at 239.5, I weighed 234 on Monday morning and 232 this morning. It'll come back off, trust me.

It could have been a lot worse, overall you didn't do so bad! I wouldn't worry about it!

At least you realize that you could have done better, and are committed to making up for it so to speak.

thanks guys, i ended up giving all the left overs from the bbq away.. i just couldn't stop eating them. now i feel like i'm back on track.. i did 25 mins on the treadmill this morning, and 50 crunches, i also ate a good breakfast, egg whites, and watermelon w/ banana slices. so hopefully i'll do as good the rest of the day.. i 'll check back in tonight. enjoy your day...

There you go! Right back on track.

Everyone falls off the wagon, you can't be 100% perfect all the time (would life be worth living then?). But what matters is that right after your splurge, you're back to the healthy eating. When I was younger and dieting, as soon as I messed up, I'd feel like I failed, and I'd write off the whole rest of the day, and end up eating my comfort foods to make myself feel better.

I think now I realize that even if I'm temped, and give in, I've got to take back control, and eat better for the rest of the day, and then work a little harder the next day.

Don't get discouraged! And remember to take your measurements too. You won't always just see results on the scale

Mike is not quite normal. I think a lot of the fluxuation is water weight as well, and the fact that he's weighing himself at all different times of the day, which isn't great for comparison purposes.

i haven't posted on here in a while, i'm still trying to lose the weight, but i haven't worked out very much in the last 2 weeks. i'm want to work out, but things keep getting in the way, but at least i haven't gained any weight, in fact i'm still losing, slowly, i got a pair of pants given to me yesterday, and they were a size 16, i have not been able to fit in a 16 for 2 1/2 yrs.. and they fit!!!, they are still a little snug, but they fit....so now my mini goal is to make them loose on me well i'll catch back up later...hope everyone is doing well!!!!

Well that's a wonderful sign, losing weight without the exercise even, that shows your eating is getting better. Good job! Soon as you get back in the gym those pounds will come flying off!

yeah.!!!! another pound gone...i basically lost 20 pounds.. i am so happy that i am keeping to this. and you guys are so so helpful.. this month i lost the weight slower, i really didn't exercise much.. but i'm trying to get back on track.. tomorrow i'm going to hike up to the cliff that we have around here..it is only a mile hike, but it is all up hill...i'm taking my son with me, so i hope he starts to become more active..well i will check i again tomorrow...thanks for all the help...!!
