Is what you mentioned all you're eating for the entire day or just for those two meals?

had about the same meal for supper as dinner. ran out of dressin so just used apple cider vinegar, cold pressed olive oil and black pepper....no i dont post every meal but most of them. the primary reason i'm posting is to keep track of quality not quantity.. . when eating whole foods i always get satisfied and hardly ever eat too much....gotta go to krogers 2 mor......black beans, maybe some black eyed peas, eggs, pork chops,lettuce,pickles,apples,oranges,...will look around for a little variety but that'll be about it...right now i'm in a pretty good groove. the only foods i crave are the ones i eat and i dont eat til i'm hungry.....will have some popcorn and or an apple later...

Sobo, do you like taco salad? If so, try cooking your black beans in taco seasoning for that taco meat flavor. Then on a bed of lettuce add chopped onion, bell pepper, tomato if they're not too expensive and some chopped celery for crunch to replace the tortilla chips that you're NOT going to be using. .gif) Top it with some nonfat sourcream, a healthy portion of salsa and 1/2 - 3/4 cup of warm "taco beans". Mix it up and enjoy!
So, when are you going to start doing a little exercise? You're going to need to get in shape if you are going to be able to keep up with all those women who are going to start knocking down your door! __________________

When I make Tacos for the family, I make it with ground turkey which they say they prefer (needs to be 97% fat free for true benefit). I measure out the ounces I am going to allow myself to have and make a taco salad out of it. I love it. I use fat free sour cream and balsamic vinegar. Sometimes some cheese depending on how many points I have allowed myself by dinner time. That vinegar ROCKS. I just love it!

I haven't used a lot of ground turkey...but I quite like it. I generally use lean ground beef (extra lean isn't worth paying more for)...by the time you drain it, it's not too bad...

Good job, SOBO.
Lemme tell you this.. when I was a waitress, my favorite item on the menu was a burger patty with pico and cottage cheese. No bun, cheese, mayo, NOTHING ELSE. It was AWESOME. If you like those 3 things or at least 2 of the 3, give it a try. Lots of flavor and a real sense of doing something good for you too.
In fact, I have not had this in some time and time to incorporate it. Your post above about the hamburger patties made me think of it. Even my 10 yr old does not really like hamburgers, but he likes patties from home! So, thanks, SOBO!

Hey there Sickofbeinobese,
Well done you! You're doing really well. I wouldn't rule out bread entirely, I've given up white bread and eat nothing but brown bread now. I don't miss white now and brown tastes better.
Getting rid of the comfort foods is a good idea: "out of sight, out of mind". But it doesn't hurt to treat yourself to the foods that you enjoy every now and then, but as long as you stay in control.
Keep going and all the best with your continued success.
J.Allen
