Dan, you are doing awesome, Dude! Have you thought about throwing in a multi-vitamin? Especially since your not getting very much fruit? Also, have you checked out the nutrition tracker at www.sparkspeople.com ? You just enter your food into each meal category and all the fats, protein, carbs are added up for you. It's also great because I can enter foods to see if I can afford them and then delete or adjust amounts if I don't like the final number. It's very helpful.
Keep up the great job!

I've worked about 56 hours in the last 4 days. It's been... profitable at least.
Guess i've slipped on the food stuff, but i'm keeping calories under 2,000 a day at least. I will try to summon the will to walk down to walmart in a bit to get some groceries. Still haven't gotten a minifridge for the truck yet.
The low battery alarm on this truck is blown I think. Which basically means that the truck doesn't warn me to turn it on for a while when it starts getting low. I've had to get jumped twice already cuz i fall asleep with my laptop plugged in or something.
I'm getting a preventative maintanence service done tomorrow i think, and I'll see about it then. Hopefully it's just blown, and the truck just doesn't have one. If i can get it fixed, i'll grab a fridge and some stuff.
I've been missing cooked food lately, heh. A man can not live on protein/fiber/slimfast bars and tuna sandwiches alone, it seems. So mayhaps I've gone to wendy's a time or two and gotten a grilled chicken sandwich or some such.

Glad you're doing well! 2000cal a day is still good, keep it up! Wendy's also has baked potatoes. Skip the butter and sour cream and go for a side of salsa. Filling, satisfying and full of fiber for under 300 cals! It was good to hear from you again.

Hi, Dan. Good to know that you are ok. Just a quick thought too, the grilled chicken sand. at Chik fil A is 300 cal. and no mayo. At Wendys, there are some decent choices, but get the nutrional values on them. You can do it. I sense some stressful issues going on but in turn, they will change. J
ust priortize them and get the issues taken care of, one at a time. Take care and get back w/us! We all enjoy hearing from you.
Be careful...bad weather headed East this week.

Thanks. I have been frazzled this week. Started out in Memphis, down to Jackson, MS then thru TX, up Colorado, and then to Salt Lake. Delivered, and an hour later i was headed down here to Phoenix. Something like 2500 miles.
It's not just the work. I love my job. It's... bah. I'll get it figured out. Thanks again for the support.

Good for you! I like my spinach salad with chopped chicken breast, chopped red onion, pine nuts, (I would say swiss cheese but I'm off that right now ) and then some wishbone honeymustard salad spritz (1-2 calories a spray). It's yummy! But the steak strips also sound pretty darn good. Do you mind if I steal your recipe sometime?!?
GREAT job on the exercising! I have a resistance band but I haven't really used it much yet! I need to get on that.
Have a STRONG day! Let's keep our burgers moving down!

Aye! I got em from walmart, right by the precooked chicken strips from tyson as well. I almost got the chicken, but the calories for the chicken pack was 220, for the steak was 240. And not eating red meat gives me horrible cravings. So yeah. And it was FANTASTIC! lol.
I've started actually snacking on 'surimi' its... like... the tofu/hotdog of asian food i think. Basically, its what they use to make fake-crab meat. Its a fish.
edit:
I really do need to weigh myself soon. My belt used to be near the very tip when I bought it. Now... Theres a lot of draw through on it. I can feel my gut has gotten smaller.

That mini fridge will be SUCH big help. Having one in my dorm room during college was only way I was able to eat healthy in that environment. One of the best investments you'll ever make. Quote:

I have been meaning to get something like that, aye. I should in the next few weeks. As soon as i can clear some income. Damn bills.
Edit:
Here's what i'm thinking tho...
I'll go to walmart in a bit, buy a decent sized cooler. Or maybe just a tupperware tub, same thing basically, but cheaper. Then, i'll buy a few smaller tupperware thingies, and use those to put stuff like meat, veggie stuff, etc inside to keep them from getting wet. Which is the third part. Just every day, pour a new bag of ice into the cooler, with all the tupperware's floating around inside to keep cool. I figure that should be enough to keep food fresh and cool for a week, if I keep the ice changed out daily.
A decent 12v cooler and the battery thing will run nigh on 300 bucks altogether, this seems like a cheaper (40 bucks?) albeit nonpermanent substitution to getting and keeping higher quality/healthier foods than normal.

hey Dan,
just thought id join the blog here, looks like you got the diet part down perfect. Trying to lose weight on the road all the time has to be tough man.
I sale items online, and i have to drive all over the place to get merchandise to resale for a profit.
That seems hard to me. I can only imagine how hard it is to find time for working out when your on the road that much.
Ive seen those big rigs on TV, if yours has allot of room maybe you can get some weights in there, you know to do curls and stuff. just a simple set, I got one at walmart for 30 bucks that comes in a case (like a small briefcase) it has 50lbs of weights and two bar bells.
I know you couldn't fit a bowflex in there lol but maybe something simple like that is all you need to get the extra edge on things.
keep up the good work man!
Later from Texas.
Bob
