| Anyone elses spouses getting jealous of your success? Just wondering. I have not been told by the husband that he is jealous but can tell from his actions at times. I find that he is not grabbing my fat as much anymore. THANK GOD! But every time I tell him what weight I am at he sounds as if he is upset slightly. He is slowly losing too but he is not following the eating plan or the working out like I am. He works out about 4 times a week maybe. I am working out almost everyday. I love it!!

| Re: Anyone elses spouses getting jealous of your success? Well, I'm not married. But everytime I update my Dad on my weight loss...LOL...he goes out to the bowflex and works out for an hour! I think its hilarious.
I think he used to be up the the 350-400 range and he is a very very healthy weight now. But I dont think he realises that he has such a large framed body, and is upset by that. A couple of years ago he lost too much weight and looked down right sickly, it really scared me and my Mom.
Enjoy your success you earned it...

| Re: Anyone elses spouses getting jealous of your success? It is not fun huh? Well you would hope the jealousy would turn into motivation but no on my end. He will be motivated once his butt gets into the police academy.

That's rediculous. I think he's bummed that you're doing so much better than him, and maybe for the extra attention and confidence that comes with it.

My wife is very supportive of my diet and goes out of her way to make me low cal meals but at times she does make comments about the amount of time I spend at the gym.
She doesn't exactly complain but I can tell by her comments that she resents the time I get to go and workout.
I can't blame her, I work 12 hour shifts 5, sometimes 6 days/nights a week and we have 3 young kids. She also works in a school and so I know she works very hard looking after us all
However, I do treat her with flowers on occasions and I have given her extra $$ to get her hair done recently (why does it cost so damn much for a woman to get her hair done ).

Enjoy your success you earned it... | Maybe you should tell him every day you lost another 1/8 of a pound so he keeps working out. Quote:

Agreed. I think it has to do with this too. Things have been good. Yesterday I showed him the pants that don't fit me anymore....he was shocked. LOL Well he will be shocked with I get my butt down to 110
