| Chrisy's ramblings Ok I decided that I'm gonna start a blog thingy on here, because I keep finding myself going to the kitchen to find some munchies. I'm not hungry. I'm bored. My boyfriend has been out of town for almost 2 days and will probalby be gone for another 2 day. And with me not working and my class not starting until April 3rd I'm so freaking bored. I've worked out, done yard work, laundry, cleaned the house, watched tv, played video games, made Easter baskets (7 of them to be exact). I'm running out of things to do....I could work out again. It's to late to go for a walk alone. I guess I could take a sleeping pill and go to sleep, but I try not to take those but a couple times a week. I'm drinking water to keep from munching. My jaws hurt from chewing gum so much. All my friends are in bed because they work tomorrow. My son is in bed and my daughter is at her dad's spending quality time with him, they went fishing today...I'm jealous. I really hate getting the munchies the night before I'm supposed to weigh in. Man it is way to late to drink any of that Green Tea, but I dont really like the way it tastes anyways. It tastes to much like tea and I'm not really a tea person unless it is a hot mint tea or peppermint tea but only if they are caffine free.
You know I've noticed that since I've changed my diet that I havent had my regular monthly menstral migraine. Ok Ok I know you guys dont want to hear that but I'm just saying I ALWAYS have a migraine a couple days before and then through the whole thing. But I havent had one since Jan. Just like my GERD seems to be gone too. It is so cool!!!!
Ok I think I'm done rambling for now.

| Re: Chrisy's ramblings It's great to see some of the added health benefits you have received from eating healthy!
Maybe a warm milk toddy to help you go to bed? :p It sounds like you've been REALLY busy though! Good for you! I try to drink different things like spearmint teas, diet sodas, decaf coffees sometimes at night because it gives me variety without calories and the different tastes tend to curb my cravings.
Then again it's 1am!!! You should be in bed!

| Re: Chrisy's ramblings I know I should be in bed but the insomnia is worse when Gregg is out of town. Plus I keep hearing this weird banging noise and is freaking me out a bit. Just being a girl I think but I got the baseball bat out lol. I have some caffiene free diet dr pepper but I try to limit my soda intake to no more than 2 glasses a day I think I'm going to take a sleeping pill it is called SleepMD has white willow extract, valerian extract, lemon balm extract, hops extract, lavender powder, melatonin, passion flower extract, coenzyme Q10, and Scutllaria lateriflora powder in it. and it really seems to help me sleep but from past experience if i take something to often it stops working so i only take it when i really need to sleep

| Re: Chrisy's ramblings Well I finally took a sleeping pill about 1am was asleep around 2-230 am then slept till about 10am which i really didnt want to sleep that late because it makes it even harder to go to sleep when i sleep in. My kids used to wake me up when they got up. Now they just let me sleep till I wake up. They were my alarm clocks lol....dang buggers are getting old on me. Dont need me anymore.
Reading has never put me to sleep. I'm a book worm. I love reading but have read all the books in the house a couple of times. I probably should get a library card then I'd have new books to read. Oh well...
My boyfriend is coming home tonight instead of tomorrow night!!!! I've seen him for like 5 min out of the last 3-4 days. Sometimes I hate his job....but then it is what pays the bills so I gotta live with it at least till I start working again.
Ok I'm done rambling for now.....
Oh HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY!!!

| Re: Chrisy's ramblings when i munch i usually make it veggies like carrots or a kashi granola bar. and I have a trail mix i found that is soy nuts and almonds and sunfower seeds and oh another seed dont remember which but i've got it measured out into snack size bags and only 1/4 cup in each bag about 130 calories if i remember right. I try to keep my munching to only healthy stuff but I know to much of anything can be bad. I dont even buy candys or cookies or chips anymore except for special treats for my kids and then that is very seldom and only enough for one snack for each kid so that it doesnt stay in the house so no temptations.

| Re: Chrisy's ramblings Oh I've found this soy protien shake that I've been drinking when I skip a meal, which I tend to do ALOT. It only has 140 calories in 2 scoops. It says to mix it in 8 oz. of water or milk but I mix it in about 14 oz of cold water because it is a bit gritty in just 8. but it has 13 grams of protein and 2 grms of fiber and 400 mg of potassium plus vitamin a c d and e and calsium iron and thiamin. So i figure it is a good replacement for a meal when i'm skipping them but ew i just realized it has 16 grams of sugar

When the kids were little it was easier to remember because I just ate when they did. But now they are teens and pretty much take care of themselves. I try to keep small healthy snacks in my purse so I have something when I'm out and about, but there are some days I eat about 500-800 calories because I've skipped eating so much. But I am getting better plus my friends and boyfriend have started reminding me to eat and asking me if I have eaten that day....sometimes it is kind of funny.

| Re: Chrisy's ramblings ok we ended up not walking on the 20th like i wanted to we had other things come up and i didnt get a chance to walk again until today, but I walked 4 miles today. I would have gone further but the wind kept taking my breath away and I was starting to weeze pretty bad and I had left my inhaler at home. Thought it might be safer to stop and go home. I may get on my bike tonight for a while.
Tomorrow is weigh in day and i'm nervous. I went out friday night and had a few drinks and yesterday we had a family dinner with my bf's family and i ate a few things i probably shouldnt have. I'm worried that I might have gained this week. I think I get like this every sunday night though. I dont know. I'm just having a bad day, bad week really. I'm going nuts not working and I have a week and a half till my class starts. I need to stay busy to stay sane I guess. Guess we will see what happens in the morning when I step on the scale.
