Unhappy Changing my Lifestyle, Please support me!

Hi all, I am the new girl!
I had never thought about joining any kind of support group until now. I figured it may be the one think to truly help me. I am 23 years old and am 90 lbs over weight according to my doctor. 260lbs! I really want to get healthy for myself and my family. I was just married in January, and I have truly lost myself. I graduated college early, got a great job and have become a work-aholic. About a year ago I was running 3 miles a day just for fun, I was a size 12 and very healthy (I am 5'11). Today, I am a size 22 and I am very unhappy with myself. My husband loves me for me, and I feel so guilty sometimes that I have let work and my busy schedule take over my life. My husband is a tall, fit person who never gains a pound, and I feel like I owe it to myself and him, as well as our future kids to get healthy and back in shape. I do not have a lot of friends that can relate. Any time I talk about being over weight, they think I am crazy because they don't see it. My height is the only thing that saves me from looking completely obese. I would really like to have people to talk to who understand, and help me get through..Thanks!

Welcome!!!

We're all here for you! I can relate being a workoholic myself, it's tough to get exercise for me as well.

Have you thought about how you plan on attempting to drop the weight?

You have a good mindset and have already taken a few positive steps by coming here. I don't doubt for a second taht you can do this.

hey i totaly understand where you are coming from my hubby is the same type of guy as your husband. i have always struggled with my weight it has been a real battle for me ever since puberty i started to change my eating habits when i got pg with my daughter the little one in the pic to your left. and now i am determined to be fit i don't want my dd to grow up with a fat mummy i want to be able to go outside and play with her when she is ready to do that. the best thing about this whole lifestyle change for is my hubby is so awsome we are moving in nov and my hubby made sure we got a condo building with a gym to help me feel motivated even thogh he tells me i don"t need to worry about all this weight stuff aren'T our spouses just to good to us
