| low-carb pizza i make a great low-carb pizza, its good to have when my kids are all having reg. pizza and i dont want all the carbs. start with any low-carb tortia( wal-mart has one thats thick and in the deli section) then drizzle on some olive oil and any cheeses and veggies you like. my favorite one is with artichoke hearts, fresh basil, diced tom., motz. cheese and parm. cheese. also you can make some ahead and freeze.enjoy!!!!!!!

that sounds good...i found a recipe for mini eggplant pizzas for a snack
you take a 3 inch diameter eggplant peel it and cut into 1/2 inch slices brush both sides of the eggplant with olive oil and season with salt and pepper place on a baking sheet and bake until browned and almost tender, about 6-8 min, turning once then you take a large ripe tomato slice it up and place a slice on each eggplant slice season with oregano, basil, and garlic powder. top with shredded smoked or regular mozzarella cheese and bake until the cheese melt, about 3-5 minutes.
makes about 4 servings
per serving 121 calories 4 g protein 10 g carbs 8 g fats 3 g sat fat 11 mg cholesterol 351 mg sodium 4 g fiber

I did this crust recipe the other day Low Carb Flax Meal Pizza Crust .
Was very tasty but has an ungodly amount of calories. Was one of the experimental foods I tried. Probably one of the reason's I lost no weight in the last week.

HI
I make a similar pizza, but I use thinly sliced ham/turkey slices as a base, then put cheese over with some veggies of your choice:tomatoes, origano, etc. Almost like a real pizza, but no bread at all.

Thanks for the great recipe! Not only does it sound delicious, it is easy to make. I can't wait to give it a try...maybe even tonight. :-)

| I use Portabello mushrooms, the large ones, they bring such a yummy flavor to the pizza. very low in carbs. My kids love them.

| Re: low-carb pizza
Hello all, My name is Shirley and Im new to this forum. I really need some help. I have heard that Atkins diet is meat and cheese based. I'm very fussy with food but I love all meats so this diet sounds good to me. I also love pizza.
First of all I have no idea where to start. Do I need to buy a book. What are the guidelines. Please let me know where to start.
Desperate Shirley
