I would like to loose about 40 pounds which puts me back to my fighting weight (or at least close to it) from about 15 years ago. I would like to do some of the things I use to do and be a better example for my kids.

Back injuries started the weight gain and then a job change to a more sedentary job finished it off, long story short I gained 50 pounds over the years.

Started working out again, nothing major (by comparison to what I use to do) just push-ups, sit-ups, minor weight lifting and walking.

And after a year or so of trying various things it appears it is starting to work, down 10 pounds.

Who knew a healthy diet and exercise (more and less than I was doing) were the key
I know all about back injuries, they are so hard to get past! How did you hurt yours and what was the result?

Losing weight does sound so simple on paper, so why does it have to be so darn hard to execute!
