I have seen amputees and others drive without feet. However, the issue I have is with steering and changing gears. She must have a special car with the steering column gone and the wheel on the floor (not that tough, as you car folks would know better than I), but how does she change gears safely while also handling the wheel and the pedals.
Her knowledge that in advance, they would not be able to hand her the food through the window still makes me wonder if it was a setup. Do you guys have a link to the article? I would want to see more details.
