My understanding is that she drives with her legs. Seems doable. I have a buddy who is paralyzed from the waste down, and he has a long stick coming out from next to the steering wheel that controls the brake and gas....so he can drive with only two hands and no legs, so I don't see why the same couldn't be done with feet.

There is a company that makes a special car that can be driven with just feet. I think it costs $35,000 if I remember right.
I have seen amputees and others drive without feet. However, the issue I have is with steering and changing gears. She must have a special car with the steering column gone and the wheel on the floor (not that tough, as you car folks would know better than I), but how does she change gears safely while also handling the wheel and the pedals.

Her knowledge that in advance, they would not be able to hand her the food through the window still makes me wonder if it was a setup. Do you guys have a link to the article? I would want to see more details.
