Could you define "somewhat quick?" How many pounds would you like to lose and by when? In any situation, if you want to lose weight, you need to make sure you consume fewer calories than you expend (burn) in a given day. Exercising will help you acheive that calorie deficit, fuel that weight loss. If you're looking to lose weight quickly, I suggest you incorporate exercise into your lifestyle as soon as possible.
