Puppies used to smuggle heroin?

Unbelieveable Poor puppies.

Suspects in Florida are among those arrested Wednesday on accusations that they surgically implanted heroin in puppies in order to smuggle the drugs into the United States.
There were other arrests in New York and North Carolina.
The US Drug Enforcement Administration says 10 puppies were rescued during a raid on a farm in Colombia.
Some of the puppies were labrador retrievers.
A veterinarian had stitched a total of almost 7 pounds of heroin into the abdomens of six pups.
Three later died from infections after the drugs were removed.
Drug traffickers often use people as couriers, getting them to swallow condoms that have been filled with heroin.
They practice by swallowing large grapes.
The DEA says Colombians have been known to conceal drugs in everything imaginable, including such things as a huge picture frame, casts on broken arms or legs, body creams, aerosol cans and flowers.
