For me willpower takes motivation. I motivate myself by finding someone else to exercise with (a partner). I know others find a friend to lose weight with just with eating alone. I have gone so far as to put a picture of me looking my worst next to a picture of me looking my best on the refridgerator. That keeps me from going in for that extra bite to eat that I don't need.
It's also a lot easier to have willpower at home when you are only buying healthy groceries. If the bad food isn't there, you can't eat it.
