Hope I can join you
I'll start by introducing myself...Priscilla, 32 yrs of age, stay-at-home-mom of 3 great kids (6, 2 and 8 months).
I've been hesitating to post, I'm a bit shy. But I've been reading this forum yesterday and thought that it's great.
I've been overweight basically all my life, but mostly when I hit puberty. I've dieted over and over again, and the most I've lost in all those years were 29 pounds, but gained it all back again and then some.
Yesterday, when I woke up, I decided to step up on the scale, something I haven't done in a while. I had a feeling I gained weight, but I was amazed yet troubled to see how much! Terrible.
I've decided then and now, that was it I had to do something about it.
I've looked throught the internet to see if I'd find tips on how to do it. I hate to count calories, I tried that and it discouraged me more than keep motivated....so for now, I decided to start "easy", by watching my portions, cook and eat healthy foods as much as possible, no more deep frying, no more cooking in real butter, cut the fat as much as possible. Change my soda to diet (that one's easy), cut down on carbs AND eat only when I feel real hunger...not when I have simple "cravings". Eat 3 meals a day, some snacks if I feel hungry (you know growling of the stomach and all

) and of course to move, move, move.
I bought a stationnary bike 3 weeks ago and I'll buy an MP4 player too in a couple days. Those two combined should keep me motivated and moving!
And I read about (what I think is a new way to exercise) HIIT and that really got my attention. I'd like to try that out.
So there! I'm not gonna elaborate and take more of your time, but I wanted to share this bit of info with you, thought it would be a good way to introduce myself
