Welcome vice86! Glad to have you here.

226 is hardly a "fatass." Lifting weights/exercising will help you get to your goals quicker, but more importantly will help you maintain the muscle mass you already have. You will be more likely to lose some of that muscle mass as you lose weight without lifting/exercise as part of the equation. Every pound of muscle you can keep on your body will help burn an extra 50 calories a day at rest, which will help you keep the weight off once you lose it.
As far as posting pics, on the toolbar at the top of the page under the VB Image Host you can host your own pictures, up to 50 of them. You'll then be given a link with [img] tags that you can post here. Or you can wait till 10 posts.
