I am sorry but I have seen the proof myself, the original 88lbs I lost was literally just melting off. As soon as I found out I was pregnant I started eating carbs again..because the doctor said to. And the result was that my blood sugar was bottoming out. It was literally dropping into the 20's and on average ran in the 40's, when it should have been in the 90's(during pregnancy). They sent me to a nutritionist who tried to put me on a high carb diet. As soon as I stopped listening to all of them and went back on the lower carb (still eating some carbs for baby) my sugar stabilized. It just annoys me, I am no just an average low carber, I have a condition which requires tthat I eat this way. And why would one nutritionist know this and not the other... Don't they all go to school and learn the same things, I think they base it all on opinions.
I think the problem is that if every nutritionist sold the same diet plan or would give the same opinion, they would have a tough time differentiating themselves from any other nutritionist. It's probably to their benefit from a marketing perspective to sell different types of nutrition plans. Also like you said their opinion has to play a roll. Not everyone always agrees on the best method to tackle a problem. Nutritionists can base their decisions on research, others' results or their own results, or combinations of all three.
