e War On Cheese: Link To Childhood Obesity? There's a war on cheese starting and a health organization is lobbing the first bombs.

They say the dairy bi-product is partly to blame for childhood obesity.

The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine wants to ban cheese commercials from airing during children's TV shows.

They claim cheese is a junk food and is not part of a healthy diet.

They say chedder cheese is almost entirely made up of fat.

They say contrary to the USDA's Food Guide Period, children should not eat cheese.

Wisconsin's Milk Marketing Board defends that milk and cheese "do a body good."

The WMMB says, "It has calcium and eight other essential nutrients in it and makes it a very healthy option for kids to have."

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends three servings of dairy per day.

Childhood Obesity
