Hello
I introduced myself in a previous post, I'm 24 and have been obese since I was a young child. I've re-gained some weight I lost earlier and so am once again tackling my excess size. I've been tracking my food and calories and have kept my cals between 1700-2400 for 12 days. I know, quite a range but I've been averaging 2100 and on most days I end up right about there.
After 12 days I can say I'm feeling hopeful and confident I'll be able to keep tracking my food. It really isn't that much of a bother and alot less expensive then diabetes care. (my ultimate fear and motivation)
In my last weight loss atempt (about 2 months ago) I had reduced my cals to average about 1700 a day and was walking an hour a day. It lasted for 23 days and I lost 12 lbs. Sounds good but I put all the weight back on. Now I'm back where I started. But, I am ready to start again.
I finally got on the scale today. 299.5 Ouch. That's not the number I was hoping for but then I rembered the last time I saw that number was after I had lost 30lbs from my heaviest.
SOOOOoooo....My new goal is to look like I did 2 summers ago (like the picture in the photo album) By that I mean I can wear that awesome maroon t-shirt that is just sitting in my dresser. I seem to recall I was around 275-280 in that picture.
Wish me luck!
