CBS obesity show features professor Posted: 1/23/07
A Ball State University professor will be appearing on the WISH-TV program "Eye on Kids" at 8 p.m. tonight.
Carol Friesen, associate professor of family and consumer sciences, will participate in a three-person discussion panel about child obesity at the Indianapolis Children's Museum.
Friesen has experience working with Operation Wellness, a program in Wells County dedicated to reducing obesity rates, she said.
"I've worked with children and weight issues for a long, long time," Friesen said. "My job is to say to parents how they need to buy healthier food and spend more time with their kids getting exercise."
