Amazing how corporate America pushes junk food in front of their employees

This isn't the first time I've seen this, but I thought I'd write about it (maybe I'll make a blog about it in the future).

I'm currently working at a client's office, and all the employees have to work overtime and weekends to crank out the company's year end financial statements.

The company is kind enough to provide dinner during the week and breakfast/lunch/dinner on the weekend to those that work overtime.

Dinner during the week so far has consisted of:

Wednesday: Carb heavy Boston Market
Thursday: Chipotle Mexican (semi-fast food)
Friday: Pancakes/Waffles/Toast/Eggs

Weekends:

Breakfast consists of donuts and bagels/cream cheese

Lunch consists of Pizza or Fried Chicken.....

And people wonder why obesity is such a problem

Of course I got smart, went shopping, and brought my own food. Thankfully my firm pays for my food, so it's not on my dime. I do know it's hard to turn down free food, but I think it's worth paying a few extra dollars a day to live a few extra years in the long run.
