(Philadelphia, PA) - Childhood obesity...it's one of the biggest health crises our children face, and may make them the first generation that won't live longer than their parents. But what can we do?
Saturday, December 16th, Action News HealthCheck reporter Anita Brikman hosts a unique interactive special on the obesity problem titled "Take Action! The BIG Kid Obesity Crisis." The live hour-long program will begin at 7pm on 6abc, and will move to a webcast on 6abc.com at 7:30pm.
During the hour, Ms. Brikman will be joined by a group of pediatric and nutritional experts, who will offer help and insight, as well as answer questions posed by viewers in an online chat. The show will also profile one teenager's story about tackling her weight problem.
Starting now, viewers can log onto 6abc.com, and click on the BIG Kid Obesity Crisis icon to submit their questions or share their experiences.
"Take Action! The BIG Kid Obesity Crisis," is sponsored, in part, by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. The interactive special airs live, Saturday at 7pm, starting on 6abc, and then moves to 6abc.com at 7:30pm.
