Saw it on the news this morning-
They are going to use a zero trans fat soybean oil for its menu items instead of the partially hydrogenated crap. This won't happen until April of 2007 though officially, although some of their restaurants switched to the low linolenic soybean oil already.
Supposedly the average American eats 4.7 pounds of transfats a year (per the Food and Drug Administration).
NYC health officials say it belongs in the same category as food spoiled by poor refrigeration or rodent droppings.
Hopefully all the other fast food joints and restuarants follow suit.
