Fried Coke Balls, are you kidding me? No wonder Americans have obesity issues

America's state fairs are notorious for junk food, but this has got to be the worst I've ever seen. When I first heard of fried Oreos, I cringed. After hearing this I just shake my head in wonder.

"Abel Gonzales, 36, a computer analyst from Dallas, tried 15 different varieties of what he calls "Coke Balls" before he created the perfect recipe -- a batter mix made with Coca-Cola syrup, a drizzle of strawberry syrup, and some strawberries. Balls of the batter are deep-fried making golf ball sized doughnuts which are then served in a cup, topped with Coca-Cola syrup, whipped cream, cinnamon sugar and a cherry on the top."

And they're testing a version they'll fry with Diet Coke — for folks watching their weight!
