INDIANAPOLIS -- About 30 percent of children between the ages of 6 and 11 are overweight, and experts say that trend is showing no signs of slowing down.

The Indianapolis Children’s Museum and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield have teamed up to fight the trend.

A new program, called "Play Fit," debuted on Saturday. Areas were set up all around the museum to promote healthy eating and exercise in children.

Dancing, a jump rope demonstration and a stroller fit demonstration showed how parents can be good role models for their children.

"Play Fit" is a four-year initiative funded by Anthem at a cost of $200,000. The next "Play Fit" activity day at the museum is Nov. 18.
