Fight to tackle childhood obesity
The fight against childhood obesity is being taken to South Ribble following concern from residents.
South Ribble Council is setting up a task support group to offer education, advice and support to people who may be suffering from obesity.

The council is now trying to get backing from organisations such as the Primary Care Trust. It also aims to get healthy schools co-ordinators involved in a bid to educate children of the dangers of eating junk food.

Residents interested in getting involved are urged to get in touch with the council.
