Obesity program opens at Boys and Girls Clubs
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Monterey County is among 60 clubs selected to participate in a new program to fight childhood obesity.
The program is called "Triple Play: A Game Plan for Mind, Body and Soul."
Officials at the club said the program "takes a holistic approach to educating boys and girls about good nutrition, making physical fitness a daily practice and developing individual strengths and good character.
The Boys and Girls Clubs in Monterey County are located in Seaside and Salinas.
