Fruit/vegetable juice?

Hi all,

I bought a book which recommends drinking homemade fruit and vegetable juices. It says that there are a lot of health benefits from replacing meals with fresh juices, as you get many vitamins and minerals. It suggests that weight loss, improved energy levels, and improved skin, hair and nails, may result from going on a juice diet.

I'm not really sure if juicing is the way to go. Does anyone have any opinions on this? Has anyone tried/recommend drinking fresh juices to aid weight loss?
