Re: vertical sleeve surgery

I dont think they were trying to put you down. They just believe very strongly that surgery of any kind should be a last ditch effort. I feel the same way when it comes to surgery for me. If it is what you feel is needed for you to get to where you want/need to be then more power to you. Just make sure you figure out everything that makes you self medicate with food. And then try to make the necessary changes in your life so that the surgery wasnt all for nothing. Many people that have weight loss surgery dont change their habits and end up gaining all the weight back plus more. I would suggest, if you havent tried it already, counting calories or just find a way to cut back the amount of food you eat and try to find healthier alternatives to the junk that most of us ate to get us in the situations we are in and of course some form of exercise, even if it is just doing yardwork or walking around the neighborhood or dancing around your house while cleaning, whatever it takes to get you moving more before you look to surgery. If you have already and it didnt stick then there may be something deeper that you need to look into. Everyone I know that is obese or overweight seems to have some kind of emotional issue that they havent dealt with and instead eat and then get depressed cause of their size and eat more. It is a never ending battle to be healthy. There is to much cheap unhealthy crap out there for us to chose from. And you can eat it and lose weight. You just have to do it in moderation.
I hope I havent rambled on to much and that what I typed just made some kind of sense.
