Here's a little background info I am a 25 year old male who was heavy all throughout my childhood. At about the age of 19 I decided to diet, at that time I was about 6' 1" 302 pounds (I am now 6' 4"-I grew 3 inches in 6 years [WOW]). After a year of diet and exercise I lost a whopping 112 pounds. I felt happy, healthy and very fit. After about 3 years of maintaing my weight I started gradually gaining it back after taking medication for a condition that I have. Monday, 5/12/08 I was at a whopping 270 pound and feel very bad. My self esteem that I have worked so hard to gain has totally been stolen away. As of Monday, I decided it is time summer is approaching and I refuse to be a big fat so. Today is Wednesday, 5/14/08 and of only 2 days dieting (cutting my caloric intake down to 1500 calories) and exercising I've lost 2 pounds.
I'll check in with you guys weekly to discuss my progress. But, I will lose the weight as I've done so before. But, I will need you guys for support.

CALVIN | Hi Calvin, welcome!  We'll definitely be here to support you the whole way through! Cutting calories is the way to go! What type of exercise have you started?
