I don't know what to do anymore. My ankle is broken AND sprained, so all cardio and weight training exercises that even remotely involve legs are out. I've done four days straight of arms/abs and been using the rowing machine, but these workouts suck. I barely break a sweat... and usually I'm the type of person that is just drenched by the time my workout is done. I'm used to encorporating leg movements with my arm exercises, as you don't burn enough calories doing arms alone.... and now I just feel like I'm having the laziest workouts in my life!
I'm worried that by the time I'm able to run/do lunges and squats again, I'll have lost all that beautiful muscle I've worked so hard to revive.
Does anyone have any rigorous leg-free workouts they'd like to share? I can stand on two legs, but can't do anything that invovles moving the feet/ankle in any way shape or form. When I do walk, it is slowly and deliberately so that my ankle doesn't bend and re-injure itself. The leg/ankle is currently in an aircast to help with the walking.
Sincerely,
Lost & Legless
