newly discovered foods

This may seem silly to many of you, but I decided to post it anyway, just in case.

I don't know how we have managed to miss these foods in the past, but my husband and I have recently discovered poblano peppers. If you havent tried them before, look for them in your store and pick one up. They have a wonderful flavor, and go so well with so many things! They are not hot, just one step up from a bell pepper.

We have also been eating a lot of ground turkey. My husband and I stopped buying beef a handful of months ago, and have found that ground turkey is better than ground beef, and can be used for anything ground beef would have been used for.

Try making turkey patties with sauted poblano peppers and onions. Its really good!

I am sure there are more foods that I will discover as I change my eating habits. These foods might be common for most people, but around the area that I live in, they are not common at all. We often times have to ask for the ground turkey to be ordered at the store, and we buy it a case at a time.

If you have discovered a healthy food that others might be missing, please post about it so that I can look for it.
