I think the problem is of our creation, because we want what we can't have we work 60 hours per week, then working 60 hours per week becomes the norm so employers expect it, not only that if you want to buy a house you and your spouse have to work 60 hours a week(this might not apply to some but it does to the majority of America). So now you are too busy to eat anything healthy and its about quick and cheap (fastfood) or even quick and cheap food from a store or restaurant usually isn't very healthy, also your kids at home waiting for you to get home are eating junk, or not eating at all so we all become obese until we make the necessary changes to our lives to correct the problem. It's the society we created and its been developing ever since we stopped hunting, and tilling the fields, we try to make things easier and easier by inventing gadgets and gizmos that make our lives easier, then we pay for them by working a little more overtime, eating the dollar menu just one more day a week to save a few bucks. OH I'm on a rant now, you have unleashed the beast. A few weeks ago there was a report released I don't remember which govt agency released it but I just found another one by the University of Washington stating that eating healthier is more expensive, they say that people can eat bad for about $4 per day and to eat healthy is about $30. Again this is just a matter of priorities couldn't the average person give up a few things to eat healthy like the $25,000 suv or the plasma television, if they really wanted to eat healthy they would find a way. END OF RANT
