This little tidbit right here well be over simplified by people as, don't eat carbs or fat, well that leaves protein. Wikipedia for the rabbit starvation scenario is just fine, if you would have read it the information indicates that a super high protein diet with almost no carbs or fat will kill you fairly quickly. You're also making a specific statement that all carbs are "bad" and turn into sugar, which people will view is, wow I need to move to an Atkins or South Beach style diet which is not true. Eating specific types of carbs is good for your body and has a ton of positive effects on your system and insulin levels.
I see you've lost 10lbs, I've lost 80+, which I can apply from things that I've learned. I've gained muscle mass and lost fat all while learning to eat a good healthy diet. You're making a post that says good or bad carbs are the same as people will generalized what you've said and you've generalized what the studies said.
The key for people to understand is that eating complex/low glycemic index carbs, eating 1g per lbs of bodyweight of protein along with good fats while maintaining a caloric deficit and lifting weights along with doing cardio will help them lose weight, cure type 2 diabetes, lower blood pressure and live longer.
BTW here's my food analysis for my intake yesterday while on my cutting diet:
Fat - 15.7% (34 grams)
Protein - 66.4% (325 grams)
Carbohydrates - 16.7% (82 grams)
I eat a bowl of oatmeal daily in the morning along with cottage cheese an apple etc which are all complex carbs. I eat this way Monday through Saturday and then up to at least 300g of complex carbs on Sundays to replace the lost glycogen and to keep my metabolism up. Keep in mind this is my "cutting" diet and a maintenance diet would be a 20% fat/40% protein/40% carbs so I can maintain my energy levels.
