If your insurance covers it go to a psychologist instead, they know a lot more about depression and what medications to prescribe because it is there specialty. For me I stopped taking antidepressents because I figured out that I was not going to be happy until I lost the weight, no pills were going to change that. So I prescribed exercise to myself and I use the motivation of the fact that things will be better when I'm a healthy and going on a date every night to motivate me to keep going. You might need something for depression to get you started though everyone is different.
