People aren't out to criticize you, they're here to encourage you to consider surgery as a last resort.. We try to encourage people to try to lose weight through healthy eating and exercise first, and to only resort to costly means like surgery as a last ditch effort.

Have you considered seeing a doctor to make sure there's nothing else causing your weight gain (underactive thyroid)? I'd hate for you to go through the rigors of weight loss surgery when something else could be causing your weight gain. All weight loss surgery is going to do is reduce the amount of calories you are going to want to take into your system. However if you already PROPERLY reduced the calories your body took in by creating a calorie deficit through better eating and exercise and it didn't work, obesity surgery won't work for you.
