Re: New to the board-Question regarding Ephedra pills

Bigdaddy

I was into the weight lifting scene for about ten years. I still miss the companionship, the skill sessions where a group of us worked out together improving our form with presses. Being allowed into the group was a badge of honor and respect. I managed to squat 300lbs and considered getting serious but at 5'9" I was too short. The most exciting day of my life was witnessing a guy named Steve squat 700lbs. The saddest day was learning what some of the guys had to do to maintain the muscle mass and what it did to their lives.

What's right for everyone, I don't know if there is an answer for that question but quality of life should be our goal. We have to reach some common ground, a set of given absolutes we can all agree on. We need to admit where we are then find a way forward. I've looked around the board and I have not seen a doctrine or a serious discussion on the status of our condition. Is it [ obesity ] an addiction, illness or disease. IMHO the addition label applies to people like me. Pills and supplements are not a solution for an addiction. I don't know everything but I know I have to admit I have a problem. I realize I just do not know the answer to the big question. Why is obesity reaching epidemic proportions and why is it disproportionally affecting certain portions of the society?
